National Battles

As noted, national events that the 7th Tennessee attends take place anywhere from Pennsylvania (Gettysburg) to as far south as North Carolina (Bentonville) and provide the re-enactor with a real ‘what it must have been like’ experience.

The 7th Tennessee, as well as its sister companies in the Liberty Greys, will join up with other groups to form a brigade several hundred strong. And the experience begins.

The brigade steps off, moving across the rolling field.
Hundreds of men moving in two lines, advancing slowly.

Then the order is given “READY! AIM! FIRE!”
Hundreds of rifles fire as one.
The battle line disappears in the cloud of smoke.
And then the rebel yell sweeps from one end of the line to the other.
It’s like you were there in the 1860s.
